Codemasters, the makers of such games as Dirt, Overlord, and Clive Barker’s Jericho announced today that it had it’s best fiscal year in the company’s 22 year history. This success was largely the result of high sales in it’s American market where the company’s DiRT, which has become one of the best selling games for the Xbox 360 with one million copies sold so far, and the company’s Overlord title have both resulted in a 32% increase in profits during the 07 fiscal year. These results were also bolstered by a deal signed with Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Group which lead to skyrocketing profits for Codemasters.
The CEO of Codemasters, Rod Cousens, stated that ““The company has never been in a better position to innovate and grow. Codemasters has the right team and the right technology to compete on a global scale in the interactive entertainment industry. Our results demonstrate that Codemasters is firing on all cylinders.” Mr. Cousens’s words are proven true by the several other games in production including Turning Point: Fall of Liberty which takes place in a New York City that has been invaded by Nazi troops, Heist which allows players to assume the identity of a bank robber in San Francisco in 1969, Rise of The Argonauts , an as yet unnamed Race Driver title and several other unannounced titles still in development.
