New Aliens VS Predator title leaps onto the PSP this holiday season.

Sierra Entertainment, part of the Vivendi Games Company, made a formal announcement today that it would be releasing a new Aliens VS Predator title later this year. Titled Aliens VS Predator-Requiem the game will thrust players into the role of a Predator tasked with a very difficult mission: annihilate any Alien presence on the Earth. Fortunately the player will have numerous technological advances to assist him or her in this fight such as the wrist computer, various modes of vision such as heat vision or Pred-tech, and a cloaking mode in addition to a variety of weapons used to combat threats both human and alien. The game will also feature an online co-op mode where PSP owners can team up with other as Predators to battle against dense floods of Aliens.

 

Pascal Brochier, the president of Global Retail for Vivendi Games, stated that ““The Aliens vs. Predator-Requiem movie promises to provide a thrilling experience, and we are very excited to get the adrenaline pumping before the big screen battle begins with this exclusive title for the PSP system.” Mr. Brochier also stated that “Twentieth Century Fox has been an excellent partner, and we are very proud to be giving the fans of the franchise this action-packed interactive extension of the AvP series.”

 

The executive vice president of Fox Licensing & Merchandising, Elie Dekel, also expressed satisfaction with the partnership between Sierra and Fox by stating that ““It is exciting to see such creative use of The Aliens/Predator franchise. Sierra Entertainment has done a great job at bringing fans closer to the AVP film experience.”
